Family Events
Events bring us together. They give kids in care a chance to be kids — to blow out candles on a birthday they might otherwise have missed, to meet other children who get it without having to explain anything. They give foster parents a few hours where they're not the only person in the room who understands the weight of foster care. And they remind every family that they're part of a wider community that's rooting for them.
Here are some of the events we’ve held recently. Everything we do is made possible by sponsors and volunteers. We are so grateful to everyone who has made these events possible. Nerf Night
Because of an incredible group of partners and volunteers, over 100 kids experienced an epic Nerf battle filled with fun, energy, and connection, all at no cost to foster families. And while the kids played, foster parents were given something just as meaningful: four hours to rest and reconnect.
✨ Messiah New Hope Lutheran Church generously provided the space for the event.
✨ tre Ministries helped coordinate an incredible group of volunteers.
✨ Alpha Xi Delta Epsilon Eta at SD State showed up with energy and heart to support the kids.
✨ Central Church donated 55 pizzas to keep everyone fueled.
✨ The Central Church Men’s Young Adults Bible Study group gave their time to help make the night run smoothly.
This is what it looks like when a community comes together to support foster families in a real and tangible way. We are so grateful for each of you!
Skyforce Night
Thanks to Sioux Falls Skyforce’s generosity, 100 children and families we serve were able to attend a game against the Stockton Kings. From big smiles in the stands to special moments interacting with players, it was a night these kids won’t forget.
Cinderella
Because of the generosity of Washington Pavilion and Spotlight Theater, 192 children and families served by The Foster Network were able to attend Cinderella: Youth Edition.
We are so grateful for your partnership and for helping create such special experiences for the families we serve.

2024 Replanted Conference Simulcast
Join us for the 2024 Replanted Conference!
For the fourth year in a row, we will host a simulcast of the event on October 25-26, 2024! The Replanted Conference is designed for foster and adoptive parents, Safe Family parents, kinship providers, support systems, and professionals—anyone supporting or caring for children through adoption and foster care.
Back to School Days
We are thrilled to once again host Back-to-School Days on August 6th, 8th, and 10th. This multi-day event provides children in foster care with backpacks, school supplies, clothing, and shoes.
Backyard Bash at the Birdcage
Join us at Bluestone Federal Credit Union’s Backyard Bash at the Birdcage on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Sioux Falls Canaries Stadium.
Movie Night
Join us for an evening of painting, pizza, and a movie on Wednesday, July 31!
Lennox Swimming Pool Family Event
☀️ Get ready for a delightful morning full of family fun! We invite you to join us at the Lennox Pool for some fun in the sun on Saturday, July 13! ⛱️😎 Following the pool time, we will gather at Lennox Park, conveniently located next to the pool, to enjoy some delicious pizza together.
Adventure Camp
Adventure Camp will be hosting June 3rd, 4th, and 5th. There will be 2 different options available each day. We ask that you start by signing up for only one spot. If slots do not fill up, you are welcome to sign up for more.
